P. L. Handley grew up at the edge of Bala Lake in North Wales. Raised on a steady diet of books and films, he developed a strong desire to tell stories from a very early age. As a bilingual Welsh-speaker, his homeland continues to be a strong influence on his work to this very day.

Having started his writing career as a freelance screenwriter in the UK film industry, he is also now pursuing his passion for books. ARAN is his debut novel about a young stableboy in the kingdom of Morwallia.
